Itinerary

DAY 01

We have two pick up from Tawau. One at 0745 am and 2nd at 2.00 pm. If you take the first transfer in, you get to do 2 dives on the first day. However, if you are taking the 2.00 pm (2nd transfer) then there will be no diving on the first day.

For any unscheduled arrival (FIT) who wishes to be transferred direct will be charged accordingly. However, if a group more than 6 pax arriving at unscheduled transfer i.e arriving at 1005 or 1030 am, then there will be no charges.

Journey from Tawau to Semporna will be by bus/van (approx. 1.5 hours). If you are taking the 1st transfer then you leave Semporna around 1000 am for Mabul by boat. Boat will take at least 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on the sea/weather condition that day. Expected to arrive Mabul after 45 minutes or 1 hour later. Briefing, registration and check-in.

There will be 2 boat dives on your first day of arrival. One of the boat dive will be an orientation dive with our Divemaster. (This is subject to 1st scheduled arrival).

2nd arrival - 2.20 pm from Tawau airport to Semporna. From Semporna to Mabul island will be at 4.00 pm.

* Diving in Sipadan is NOT guaranteed. Sipadan Entry Permit is based on APPROVAL from the Government authority, in this case, we are referring to Sabah Parks and MKN.

* Unlimited Jetty Buddy house reef dives are available at our New Jetty. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions at the Registration Counter.

* The above PROPOSED dive itinerary is basd on the current QUOTA system. Should there be any change of quota allotment, the proposed itinerary will be amended.

* The Management reserve the right to amend or change the above itinerary without advanced notice. (This is due to the change of allotment of permit should there be any).

* The announcement of Sipadan Entry Permit Approval list is 3 to 4 days before the actual diving date. Thus, the resort shall display the approval list (namelist) 3 - 4 days ahead. Payment of Sipadan Entry Permit shall be made in the resort.

Day 05

No diving on the last day. However, if you wish to do so, you will have to sign a separate Liability/Release Waiver form. The latest recommendations from DAN, Training Agencies, etc., indicate that you should wait a minimum of 18 hours and sometimes up to 24 hours after diving before you fly. However, Borneo Divers recognises that people, agencies and even computers and tables differ on this. If you choose to dive on the day you depart and fly, you will be required to sign a separate Liability Release (waiver) form to do this. However, you will only be able to do one dive.

We have two departures from Mabul to Semporna. One at 0600 am and 2nd at 1100 am.
NOTE: Any transfer before or after the scheduled transfer is chargeable.

For confirmation of trip and our onwards submission to Sabah Parks, we need your full name according to passport, passport number, nationality, date of birth and full / permanent address. Not forgetting flight details too.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park Kota Kinabalu It comprises 49 square kilometers of which two-thirds are sea, and the rest is coral reefs and five islands. Sipadan Island Semporna Sipadan is the only oceanic island in Malaysia, rising 2,000 feet or 600m from the seabed. Pulau Tiga The Pulau Tiga Park comprises three islands-Pulau Tiga, Pulau Kalampunian Besar and Pulau Kalamunian Damit situated in the Kimanis Bay, off the west coast of Sabah. Padas River One of the internationally best-recognised white water river in Malaysia is the Padas River in Sabah with its Grade 3 and 4 rapids offering some of the most interesting courses for rafters. Kinabatangan River It is the second longest river in Malaysia, with a length of 560 kilometers from its headwaters in the mountains of southwest Sabah, to its outlet at the Sulu Sea, east of Sandakan.
