Itinerary
Description:
Danum Valley is 85kms west of Lahad Datu in Sabah, Malaysia. A field centre has been set up by the Sabah Foundation, together with a number of private companies, to provide facilities for research, education and recreation in an untouched rainforest area.
Day 1 : (Dinner)
Meet a Lahad Datu DVFC Office and drive to Danum Valley Field Centre. Trek in the oldest remaining rainforest in the world. Enjoy walking along an exciting suspension walkways to see wildlife. In the evening experience a night drive in an open jeep with a spotlight in search of wildlife.
Day 2 : (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Enjoy nature walks with experienced naturalists through undisturbed riverine and lowland dipterocarp forest, where you will have a good chance to photograph wildlife in the pristine jungle vegetation and where there are unlimited opportunities for watching birds of the rainforest.
Day 3 : (Breakfast)
Morning bird walk. After breakfast, transfer the 85 kms to Lahad Datu
Transfer Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
